Marshmallow-stories???

Dear Z..
"I’m too short!"
    That’s what you said to me the other night. I smiled when you said this to me, because I always said the same thing that you did. I tried to joke good things about being short. You laughed at my jokes but I knew you didn’t feel any better.
    I understand what you are feeling right now because I had the same situation like the way you are. Compare to my friends, my height (5ft 5in) seems short. I’m always one of the shortest people among other sophomore/junior girls.To be honest, I always wished to be taller. As you know, tall and skinny girls are assumed to be our Barbie or idol for today girls.
    However, it took me awhile to realize something. I asked myself a simple question.Why am I trying to be something that  I don’t? Being short is my DNA/ my gene that I can’t change. (swimming, drinking milk, playing basketball won’t be necessary if your gene has a code for being short). It’s like trying to change your eye’s color. Why can’t I be happy with the way I am/ who I am?
    Actually, I find out all heights have their own advantage. For example, the shorter people are luckier than the taller people on the bus. Believe me, it was my experience! I used to ride a school bus with a friend when I was freshman. The friend was never happy on the bus because she couldn’t stretch her long legs in this small bus seat. (you know how school bus seat are like,rite Z?)  In spite of that, a person of short stature would be able to stretch their legs in these small places and be over all more comfortable. It was definitely envied by anyone in that situation.
    Well, it is not the only good thing about being short. If you think about physical advantages of short people, you’ll find out that shorter people have faster reaction time, greater endurance, greater ability to accelerate body movement. Being short allows us to excel as gymnasts, skier, martial artists, rock climbers and figure skaters.
    Ok..let’s look about medical advantages, too. It is said that short people are less likely to require surgery and herniated spinal disks. They have lower cardiovascular disease and a fewer chances of contracting cancer. It means that their chances of living longer are greater. (so, be happy if you are short!)
   The reason is larger bodies require a huge number of duplications of cells to reach maturity. After this, their bodies have fewer  potential cell doubling to replace defective ones. So, the functional capability of vital organs decreases with aging because damaged cells can’t be replaced. (according some articles)
    The last thing that I wanna tell you is " Smaller women seem more feminine and cute!!"(agree? :D) I’m sure you don’t wanna date a guy who is shorter than you.(am i rite?) So, being short is not a problem for a girl . (lolz)
        "Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference. Make your attitude towards your life more positive."
    Cmon’, grul…don’t let your height stop you from succeeding something. Be confident with yourself! Try to use your talent instead of just your height and show the world WHO YOU ARE!
