smile-sunshine is good for your teeth!

Posted by justmylittleworld in doodle log

The first thing I notice about people is their smiles. Everyone smiles in the same language, and I love the language of the smiles.

Being me as an Asian, I don’t smile a lot naturally. (we, Asian people don’t smile to other people/strangers. rite?) In spite of my nature, I always try and remind myself to smile because a friendly look and a kindly smile can mean a lot to someone.

I had an interview with the Medical Care Center today. After the interview, we walked around the hospital to observe inside the buildings, so that I’ll know where I’m supposed to go when I do my voluntary hours here.

In side the hospital was neat, but too quiet and no one won’t bother to make some noises. It was kind of a sad, dull feeling. Then, I decided to smile at everyone that I saw to make the day brighter. Smiles are contagious, and likeable. The more I smiled, the more they smiled back in turn when they saw my smiles. Some people who work over there would even asked me friendly, "Hi!" or "How are you doing?" etc… Well, I realized that It made not only my day, but also their day.

So, hey..I challenge you

"If you don’t have a smile, I’ll give you one of mine"

SPECIAL THANKs TO "Z"

Beanybluepet6hd

I got my new profile’s look today. It looks G-l-a-m-o-r-o-u-s! I wanted to change the look of profile for so long, and I didn’t have to do it. As you already know, it takes a lot of time to find or create your contented profile background. I wanted mine to be unique and elegant with soft colors(cuz everyone is using dark colors ,lol).

I want to say thanks a million to "Z" for designing my profile. She designed it as exactly the way I wanted even though she was crazily busy. (thanks & i luv u..:) )

She did incredible job on designing layouts. She also has her own site for backgrounds that she created, and even got fans.

You can check out her work at > http://friendster-layouts.com/author/angelic-devil

Good job, Z …keep it up your creative mind…

I was planting more Lemon Delight flowers in the garden this morning. It had been a pleasure working under the warmth of sunrise. Then, I realized something.."oh, I haven’t finish my traveling journal yet!"
So, here we go again..

***********************************************************************************
                                                                                                      April 6th, 2006
I got some plans on my mind today. I wanna go to the Museum fur Naturkunde, Eastside Gallery, and Tempodrom.

Museumfuernaturkunde_o_2 Museum fur Naturkude contains the areas of mineralogy, paleontology, and zoology. It’s one of the world’s most significant museums of natural sciences with the largest exhibited skeleton of a dinosaur (Brachiosaurus). It was awesome.

Zollhaus    I had my lunch at Altes Zolhaus.  I ordered Filled leg of rabbit with tarragon-grapes salad, oven roasted farm duckling from Brandenburg with savoycabbage with potatocake, and some desserts.  It costed me about 33.50 EUR. umm..it was so good.

Eastsidegallery_01

I have to say that the East Side Gallery is the place you should go while you are in Berlin. IT is the largest open air gallery in the world. It was opened on September 28,1990 ,the year I was born.  It is 1,316 meter long and 118 artists from 21 countries have painted. It was so cool!
26 I went to Samadhi Restaurant for dinner. It was kinda of east Asian style cooking. Their vegetable dish was fresh and yummy. I forgot to tell you something, the restaurant was for vegetarians.
Then, I headed to Tempodrom. Tempodrom is one of the boldest constructions for recent years. It gain a strong reputation for the concerts and live theater, and the overall programs was characterized by the lively and imaginative mixture of genres. The World Music festival "Hemimatklange" is originally open-air free pf charge. It draws thousands of fans every year. Under the circus roof are two arenas, providing space for events as disparate as concerts, plays. revues, shows, circuses and even sporting news.

I ended my night with classic musical. It was beautiful..

a post from the annafication site

This is fromhttp://ahnnabanana.livejournal.com/172664.html#cutid1. When I saw this post, I liked it and felt the same way as the writer did. So, just wanna share with you and hope you enjoy it.

What I wish parents knew about their children (feel free to add, oppose, or react)

  1. Much of who we are is a reflection of who you are and how you raised us. We always say we don’t want to end up like our parents, but inevitably we do.
  2. We appreciate everything you do for us. Maybe not immediately, but we do. From the stories you told us before we slept to the hard-earned money you give us for allowance.
  3. Don’t laugh at our dreams. If we are four years old and we tell you we want to become a dinosaur after watching Land Before Time, understand that it’s a phase. If you laugh at us, we will be ashamed to dream without inhibition.
  4. Don’t use us to fulfill your dreams. If you didn’t take piano lessons when you were kid, you can make us try it but don’t force us to study piano for ten years if our heart’s not in it. And (I got this from my dad) don’t expect a 16/17/18 year old to know what s/he wants to do for the rest of his/her life. The least you can do is guide us, believe in us, and encourage us if you see potential.
  5. We will not let you rot in a Home for the Aged. Not because you won’t give us inheritance if we do but because we want to take care of you the way you took care of us.
  6. Whether we’re 9, 19, or 29, WE WILL ALWAYS MAKE MISTAKES. Let us make them. Experience is always the best teacher. It’s also the toughest one because it gives the test before the lesson. We learn and grow from them.
  7. We can’t earn your trust if we’re not given a chance to.
  8. You’re not ALWAYS right and we’re not ALWAYS wrong. Maybe 95% of the time, but still! Please don’t rub salt on our wounds; it doesn’t help at all. Listen to what we have to say. Sometimes listening is more than enough.
  9. There’s gotta be some balance between the material stuff and abstract, intangible stuff. Buy us the Barbie we want but show up during school programs. Get us the Wii but attend our graduation.
  10. We love you not by default. We love you because. We love you unconditionally. We love you with no expiration date.

walking back..

I went to my old school, the middle school back again today. It was like a confusion feeling. Was I supposed to be sad or happy?

Actually, I was there only for 3 months when I moved here. But, I met those nice people with a good heart over there, and I was blessed.

It felt great to see your old school again, remembering all the good times that you had in that school. But, the sad thing was most of my teachers weren’t there anymore. New faces of teachers and students that I never known were there.

However, My English teacher was there. When she saw me, she gave me a big hug. The first thing she said was, like everyone who haven’t seen for a while say, "wow..your hair got so long!!". Yep..That’s what the first thing she told me  (lol)

And, I saw Mr.B ..my social study teacher who thought I liked Ben Franklin from the American history book. (Actually, "not"). He is a short person with deep blue eyes and super nice. When I saw his face, I realized he got a lot older. We didn’t have time to chat but he asked me, "Are you still good at math?". I smiled, "yes, sir".

Although I didn’t see them all, the old school reminded me the memory of good old times.

(10) things

Posted by justmylittleworld in doodle log

Everybody got weird things/habits/little facts about themselves. So, I’m just listing (10) weird things about me in my head. I decided to share with you.

Shall we start?:

I) I am a fruits lover: grapes, apples, bananas, watermelon & everything etc… .I never meet anyone who is crazy as much as I’m about fruits.

II) I like art a lot especially the graphic arts & abstract arts. I have a collection of Abstract paintings & graphic designs in my laptop.

III) I’m a true-blue lover of the Internet. It’s the 21 century. Hel-loo?? Who wouldn’t love it, anyway?

IV)My room’s color is royal "Purple". Most people won’t never use purple for their room color, but I am. I painted my room with my own hands. Most everything in my room has white or purple color on it.

V)I love quotes. It is an amazing to read one’s thought in a beautiful way of expression.

VI)I broke five of my fancy mobiles. And, I still got grounded for these. ;D

VII) I had a nick name for chatting called "apple lay". I wasn’t trying to be cute, but I used that name because I like to chew apples a lot.

VIII) I ‘m not a writer. I don’t have passion for writing but I ‘m a big daydreamer. That’s why I start writing to keep track of my thoughts.

IX) I have a dimple. But, it is only on one of my cheek and small.

X)I have confidence about myself. But, I’m too shy sometimes without reasons.

Cleaning my locker was kinda of sad…it had been my books, papers, backpack, and other properties keeper from the beginning of the school year until the the end. It was a loyal and trustworthy locker. It may sounds pretty stupid, but I can say that I have a bond between us.

It was not the most fantastic or coolest locker at the school. It was just a simple locker that got reddish color on it. It was in the Hall-B where all the mathematic classes were held.It was where I put all my stuffs that I did not need to bring to classes or want to carry around. It was my own privacy holder and our meeting place of me and friends’ during breaks, lunch time or after school.

When I first got this locker, I had troubles with opening it. With the code numbers that the teacher gave me could not open my new locker on the first day of school. I was almost late to my classes, and It added the level to the degree of my anxiety. Fortunately, my friend found out that one of the code was missing in order to open it.

I also remembered the time once I lost the codes of the locker, and I had to call Mrs.Lkt for help, disturbing her class. It was a little bit embarrassing.(:d)

Then, I always had difficulty opening it just before 3rd period. It was my favorite class, and I had no desire for getting late. I had to ask anyone who passed near my locker to help me open it. Every time they tried, it worked! It was ridiculous!!

  V. teased me I was too nervous to open the locker because of my favorite class.  I didn’t understand the reason, but it seemed like it was locked completely by some kind of magic to restrain me from 3rd period class.

Anyway, I got used to it as the time passed, and I learned to open quickly and accurately before class bell rang. All of the problems were forgotten.

Next year, I’ll be different classes , and own a different locker. But, I’ll remember it as a locker which drove me crazy, but became the best locker ever.

   good-bye to my 2006-07 locker…

GRaduation Night

Capandtassels
There they are…wearing  those red robes and little caps. A few people wear yellow gown because they maintain their 4.0 GPA. You can see the smile, pride and  excitement on all of their faces. These are 2007 graduates of Riverdale High School. Their family, relatives and friends are cheering up. We all are thrilled.
The Academic Honored Students make speech. We think their speeches are good because they are short. (lol) Our Principal give them speech which says be proud to be a warrior (by the way, we are called  Riverdale Warriors cuz we are the top school @ sport in this state) and he is proud of them for their accomplishment..etc..
I watch the ceremony of the graduation from my seat and I feel apprehensive. In two years, I’ll be the one who is sitting in the graduate’s seat and taking my high school diploma.  What is my future going to be like after high school ?? What am I gonna do the rest of my life.?It is a scary thought. I feel numb and hopeless.
Then, They get their diploma, and they look satisfied but their future is waiting ahead. They have so many things to do. They will be change in the next few year,  they won’t be the same person as they are right now. Well, that’s life..we have to move on.
